Aldo Luongo is of Italian heritage but born in
Argentina. He pursued his passion for professional
soccer until injury ended his career and he turned
to his second love of art. He reigned at the top of
the contemporary art world for almost four decades
including being named a three-time official Olympic
artist, a World Cup artist, and the 1999 Sports
Artist of the Year. He was also chosen twice to
paint eggs for the White House Easter Egg Hunt which
now reside in the Smithsonian Institute. |
